Martin Waldseemüller’s large world map is printed on twelve sheets of paper,

each about 23 x 17 inches. The purchaser was expected to assemble these in three rows of four sheets each, to form a map to put on a wall. Once assembled the map would be of about 90 x 52 inches (228 x 125 cm.).
